In  November 2008 a press release went out where Under Armour® will be the official outfitter for 17 varsity athletic teams including Red Raider football, basketball, and baseball. This agreement is scheduled to begin in July 2009.

New for 2009 Under Armour® is featuring Quarterback Taylor Potts and Receiver Detron Lewis.  South Of The Red has you covered with scarlet and black jerseys while supplies last.

Most recently quarterback Graham Harrell wore the number 6 and Michael Crabtree the wide receiver standout wore the number 5 jersey. What a great tandem to start a new tradition and a great partnership between Texas Tech University and Under mour®.

Three Red Raider football players have had their jersey numbers retired. E.J. Holub's No. 55 was retired on Dec. 19, 1960, and Donny Anderson's No. 44 was retired Nov. 11, 1995.
